Listen to Mara & the Charm

  Mara is lead singer for the Charm. Her influences include Annie Lennox, Tina Turner, and (of course) The Spice Girls. In her formative years, Mara was a classically trained singer. She has spent time in the recording studio, lending her voice to a recent album and the new video game No Rest for the Wicked. You may also recognize her name in the credits from a long list of Los Angeles produced reality shows. 

 Rick is multi-instrument specialist, playing keyboards, synth, alto sax, bass guitar, and singing as well. He hails from Missouri—where in his formative years, was a recipient of multiple awards & honors for his outstanding sax playing. Before moving to the Seattle-area, Rick played 10 years with the show/dance band Kokomo, in venues across the Midwest. His musical influences include Paul McCartney, Rush, Prince, and the Police.  A little known fact: Rick practiced law in Springfield, Missouri. 

John plays bass guitar and sings in the band. He’s played some 10-thousand-seat stadium shows, including opening for rocker Rick Springfield. He also had the chance to play bass with the iconic R&B band, the Drifters. John refined his craft playing nearly 12 years, six nights a week in the Hawaiian Islands—not a bad gig!  John has other talents, including being a published poet, and having played Division I volley ball.

  Donn has the rare trait of being a ‘singing drummer.’ He even puts on drum-clinics across the state on that very topic. He has played in more than 20-bands ranging from Top 40, Jazz, Progressive Rock, Blues, Country and Classic Rock. Donn has also spent significant time in the recording studio, recently releasing his ‘Retouched’ double-CD, featuring Donn’s own vocals and a host of name talent from bands like Heart, Styx, and Melissa Etheridge.
